Meet the team

Greg started his automotive career in 1994 first as an apprentice, working in car restoration for Lindsay Fox. This was where his passion was ignited for not only mechanical service and repairs but also the finer requirements that make a difference.

Greg then moved into AMV as a 3rd year apprentice where he began to work on the Land Rover and Range Rover Marque and the knowledge and meticulousness skills he learnt from car restoration has carried through into all aspects of his work.

His time at AMV saw Greg work his way up to become Workshop Manager, where he also enjoyed the customer interaction. An opportunity became available in 2008 and he and his wife, along with another business partner, became the owners of AMV Automotive Service.

As the new joint owners the business has grown and moved from Elliot Place, Ringwood to main street frontage on Maroondah Highway Ringwood and now we are pleased to announce a further move to a larger and more customer friendly location of 36 molan street still in Ringwood.

Greg has a young family and enjoys the time with them whether it’s fishing, camping or playing with classic cars.

Joint Owner, for the past ten years have been involved in developing AMV to ensure the continual growth of the company and now have a new premises to further expand our customer experience in servicing and maintaining there vehicles with a relaxing atmosphere. Our aim is to give up to date repairs and services with all the latest technology.

Matt enthusiastically joined our team in 2019 and enjoys all aspects of customer service.  Matt has been working as a land Rover specialist for more than 12 years dealing with customers, spare parts and repairs. Matt enjoys the weekends in the outdoors with family and freinds especially in the bush surroundings whether its motorbike riding or 4wdriving.   A great addition to our team.

Luke has just started his automotive career at AMV as an apprentice motor mechanic.

His passion for Land Rover is over and beyond what you would expect. Owning his first Land Rover

hes now hooked!  Crawling over his car on the weekends working out what next to do to turn it into a beast!

His passion for cars started at a young age when he liked pulling things apart and trying to put them back together. Now he actually can put it into practice.  Another welcomed member in our team.

Kerry started her career in Childcare where she moved up to became the manager of Kids on Collins and Centia. At the same time she also completed her Bachelor of Criminal Justice.

When Greg and Kerry became the joint owners of AMV Automotive, Kerry left her childcare experience and joined AMV to assist with the accounts.

Greg and Kerry have a young family who have become regular visitors to the workshop and office and help ‘Mum and Dad’ with the hard decisions.
